I’m an artist/illustrator on a mission to leave the world brighter than I found it. My various illustration projects include screen printed t-shirts, interactive apps, hand-lettered logos and merchandise designs. My approach to creating combines elements of advertising characters, retro motifs, and my family’s traditional sign painting practice.
Originally from the Pacific Northwest, I now reside in Toronto with my partner Taikun Kambashi where I’ve applied for permanent residency. After spending the past two years fulfilling a long time dream of creating a video game, I’ve decided to re-center myself in my illustration practice. I’m looking forward to spending this summer screen printing in our basement art studio, painting outside and participating in local art events.
PS: I would still like to paint a mural in a vintage bowling alley or rollerskating rink if anyone has any leads. Thanks! :)
The 3 things my work does best:
Spreads joy and creates connections with people
Stands out - in a crowd, on a shelf, on a web site or across a room
Makes people hungry
My clients include Pocky, Facebook, Bitty Apps, Eat Your Kimchi, Lucid Sheep Games, The Yetee, Blood Code. My work has been featured several times on the front page of Apple’s App Store and in the Nintendo Switch eShop.
